There is Something to be Said About Good Coaching

Coaching has been an essential part of my life since I was very young. At two, I was jealous of my brother riding his bike with no training wheels so I insisted that my parents coach me to do the same. At three, I was signed up for t-ball because I had to keep up with my five year old brother. I was most likely the worst player on the field, but T-ball at a young age was only possible due to coaching. Coaching is not central to sports. I was coached on how to walk, eat, read, and so many other aspects of life. However, it was not until of late I realized the importance of coaching!

Last week I was up late thinking about Spinal Ride, and I started to have a break down. I text my coach, Stacee Seay, just after one A.M. with a novel sized message stressing my concerns. She replied by five in the morning, putting me at ease. It was at that point I realized how valuable a good coach is. Instead of having to learn lessons the hard way, she warns me ahead of time to prepare for difficult situations. Using her experience and knowledge has made my training and planning for Spinal Ride easier and much more effective.

Thanks Stacee, your help means a lot! I would be lost without you!
