Update!!

I want to apologize for not having posted any blog posts for the last while. I have been very busy and dealing with sickness and injury. I was fortunately re-motivated by a new friend to get back on the horse and continue writing blog posts. Thank you Olivia!! Your positive impact means a lot to me. I look forward to getting to know you better!

I returned from my injury with a new appreciation for being able to train. After I broke my neck I had similar feelings. Not being able to do something that I had always been able to do is a huge eye opener. It re-lit my fire and gave me a new appreciation for training. Even though sometimes it can be tough and painful, training through it is better than not being able to train at all.

I am currently riding in between ten and twelve hours per week. Three days of the week I ride on the stationary trainer doing interval training, and I ride outside for the other two weekdays with an occasional Saturday. I have been back on the bike for three weeks now. After losing six months of progress to injury, starting over was demotivating to say the least. However, I have made great progress in the last three weeks and things are looking promising!

The fundraising for this event is in full effect so if you want to donate, know of a business that may want to sponsor, or have a rich aunt looking to help out a good cause, either leave a comment or email me at Kris.sanford7@gmail.com.
